Members will tour the soon to be completed renovations at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The project was announced in 2022 totaling $100 million and will revolutionize the casino’s third floor, ushering in the next era of entertainment to Milwaukee. Impacting more than 120,000 square feet of space, renovations will provide guests with new gaming, food, and entertainment experiences. Greenfire Management Services teamed with Gilbane Building Services as general contractors for the project and will be leading the tour.
Learning objectives:
Discuss how the project team facilitated all design and construction activities in an occupied space without service disruption to guests. Identify and stress importance of clear communication and frequent collaboration with full project team comprised of a national design/build firm and two additional construction managers. Examine how working creatively as a full project team ensures timely selection, scheduling, and advanced procurement of long-lead time items. Managing risk when construction schedules may require early pre-purchase design direction.
