Whether you are newly interested in plants, or a seasoned veteran... we are excited to celebrate the upcoming planting season with you! Toledo Spirits distiller and plant hobbyist Dani will be guiding the afternoon's festivities, including a plant exchange, propagation station, and hanging out with other plant enthusiasts! This event is free to attend, though bringing plant(s) and plant related supplies is strongly encouraged. The Plant Exchange For our main event, the plant exchange, we ask that you bring a (potted in soil) plant to be randomly selected for another guest of the party. Not sure what to bring? Bring your all time favorite! Get those clippings started now. Or, you can always just pick up a solid houseplant to share. For example... Snake Plant, Spider Plant, Pothos, and Monsteras are all stunning yet low maintenance superstars for anyone to enjoy! Propagation Station A means to share the wealth! A table will be available for anyone that wants to donate and collect other party goers' cuttings. Cuttings are first come, first serve.. so get here on time if you want the best selection. Get those cuttings started now! We will be bringing test tubes for anyone that decides to bring last minute clippings that need a container as well. Donation Station A donation station will be available for people with extra supplies to share. This includes pots, plant home decor, gardening utensils, garden decor, soil or other plant additives, vases, and really any plant related goodies that are taking up space in your home. How we distribute these items will depend on the amount donated.. the more the merrier! If only a few items are donated, they will be distributed in the same manner as the plant exchange drawing. Ideally, everyone would be able to bring at least one donation. If we collect a large number of donations, they will be distributed to whoever grabs them first. We will also have a special cocktail menu featuring botanical based cocktails to get you in the planting spirit, as well as the food and drink offerings at Bellwether and HEAVY Underground. Come enjoy an early season celebration of plants along with other plant and cocktail enthusiasts!
