If you haven’t tried Yin Yoga, this class is a perfect opportunity! Open too all levels of yogis. Instead of stretching and stimulating the muscles, Yin yoga focuses on stimulating the connective tissues and joints, improving the flow of energy and hydration through these areas. This is accomplished through passive holding of poses for 3-5 minutes, using the breath to ease the body further into the pose. Lisa will guide you into Yin poses that target various areas of the body (eg glutes, hamstrings, etc). She will offer plenty of options & props to customize the poses for your unique body so that you can easily hold the pose as you release, relax and develop a deeper awareness of your body. Yin yoga is be a perfect complement to a more Yang or active yoga practice. Lisa will end the practice with a guided meditation.
