The Aztec Highland Games and Celtic Festival is the Four Corners region's premier event celebrating Celtic culture through traditional athletic competitions, music and dance performances, clan representation, and food and merchandise vendors. Athletic events include the Sheaf Toss, Weight for Height (or Weight over Bar), Braemar Stone (or Stone Put), Light and Heavy Scottish Hammer Throw, Light and Heavy Weight for Distance (or Weight Throw), and Caber Toss. The two-day event is held in Riverside Park, nestled under the trees next to the beautiful Animas River in Aztec, New Mexico.
