Join us for the third dining event in the Silverton Tour de Forks series! Launched this year, Silverton Tour de Forks is a unique community dining event that supports local nonprofits and allows you to travel the globe without leaving the comforts of our tiny little hamlet. Travel with us through food as we explore international cuisines. . . the March 7th event is celebrating Italy with an Italiano Feast!For our third event, we invite you to enter the trattoria with us as we dine and dance with a delicious Italiano five-course meal and good 'ol classic Italian music.OUR MENU:Apertif : Aperol SpritzA spritz is a Venetian wine-based cocktail, commonly served as an aperitif in Northeast Italy. It consists of prosecco, digestive bitters and soda water. Start the night out with a litte Aperol SpritzKSJC, our local radio will be spinning Dean Martin and classic Italian music. We'll have a raffle of an Italian picnic basket with a mushroom foraging variety box and a bottle of Italian wine. Door prizes!Second Course- Appetizer Caprese Salad and Stracciatella Soups up!Originated on Capri Island, the Caprese salad is an Italian salad, made of sliced fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and sweet basil, seasoned with salt, and olive oil. Stracciatella soup originated centuries ago in Rome. Back in the day, people bought large quantities of meat to make their Christmas broth, and would always have a substantial amount leftover, which led to the soup recipe. It is an Italian soup consisting of meat broth and small shreds of an egg-based mixture, prepared by drizzling the mixture into boiling broth and stirring.Main Course : Mangia! ("let's eat")Lasagna originated in Italy during the Middle Ages!We're kneading up Handmade Semolina Lasagna with a scrumptious slow cooked Bolognese Ragu sauce. A side of Pesto Zoodles and a pan fried Squash Blossom. Vegetarian option of a Spinach and cheese lasagna with bechemel sauce. A side of Pesto Zoodles and a pan fried Squash Blossom.Fourth Course- DessertTiramisu , from tirami su, "pick me up" or "cheer me up") a handmade coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers (savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa. Fifth Course- DigestifLimoncello! an Italian lemon liqueur mainly produced in Southern Italy, especially in the region around the Sorrentine Peninsula and the coast of Amalfi. It is the second-most popular liqueur in Italy and is traditionally served chilled as an after-dinner digestivo. We've handcrafted our treat just for this event! Doors and bar will open at 7pm. Dinner will be plated and served at roughly 7:30pm. Carpe Noctem! (Seize The Night!)Dress code: dress festive in the spirit of Italy! Encouraged but not required. MUSIC! DANCING! GAMES!
