Please join us at the Las Positas College Literary Arts Festival for all of the above and more on Saturday, May 13th, from 10 AM -6:30 PM at Las Positas College. All events are held in person. Click "Reserve a Spot" to see event details and to register for one or more events. Registration is needed for attendance. You are welcome to register for as many events as you like, but please do not sign up for two or more events happening at the same time. Event times are listed on the registration page. Tickets are limited and events are filling up, so please don't wait! The festival will feature speakers, panels, workshops, and more, and is free to the public. Events include readings by the California and Livermore poets laureate; a Native American poets panel; drag queen storytime; LPC student veteran writing ; Asian American histories; workshops in fiction writing, memoir writing, feminist writing, slam poetry, publishing, and young adult fiction; the 20th annual LPC Poetry Slam; and the publication ceremony for Havik, Las Positas College's award-winning journal of arts & literature. Special guests include keynote speaker Tommy Orange, last year's keynote speaker Tamim Ansary, Catherine Ceniza Choy, Michelle Cruz Gonzales, Nancy Davis Kho, Bruce Henderson, Lee Herrick, Ava LaShay, Tomás Moniz, Avery Night, Dean Rader, Randy Ribay, Peggy Schimmelman, Judith Serin, and Kim Shuck, among others.
