Join us in the the Norwegian Wood sewing studio for an afternoon of skill building Katie Miles teaches various tips and tricks for hiding stains including applique, embroidery and overdye. Price includes a small pack of hand sewing needles and three skeins of embroidery thread. We'll also be providing a variety of fabrics to be used for mending, including linen, denim, cotton muslin & African mudcloth. We'll also be teaching how to over-dye with Procyon dye in indigo. If you'd like to give a stained piece of clothing new life you can add it to this dye bath. Please bring something made from natural fibres (cotton, silk, linen & wool are perfect) Katie Miles holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a focus on Painting and Fibers. Over the years she's spent time working within the fields of graphic design, Fine Art curation, fashion design and costume design. She started Norwegian Wood in 2007, and before that worked in the mainstream fashion industry.
