Join us in the the Norwegian Wood sewing studio for an afternoon of skill building Katie Miles teaches the basics hand mending holes in clothing. After this class you will have the foundational knowledge to continue trying new mending skills at home, giving your old clothing new life! Price includes a small pack of hand sewing needles and three skeins of embroidery thread. We'll also be providing a variety of fabrics to be used for mending, including linen, denim, cotton muslin & African mudcloth. Katie Miles holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a focus on Painting and Fibers. Over the years she's spent time working within the fields of graphic design, Fine Art curation, fashion design and costume design. She started Norwegian Wood in 2007, and before that worked in the mainstream fashion industry.
