Have you ever gone to a networking event and wondered... "There were so many great people there... but I only ended up talking to one or 2 of those people and didn't get to know anyone else!" Well with our "Quick-Connect" event brought to you by the "Aquidneck Island Real Estate Investors" group! You will have an opportunity to sit down and introduce yourself to some of the other leaders in the industry and introduce yourself! Event Guideline: 5-5:30pm... Start off the event and come in, enjoy a drink and some free appetizers courtesy of Resnick and Caffrey as well as mingle prior to the main event 5:30-6:45pm... Family picture, followed by anyone that has a deal they want to present to the group, then sit down and you will have a few minutes to chat with the person across from you and then we will rotate people accordingly. 6:45-7:30pm... As the event comes to a close feel free to stay and hangout, do some more mingling with people you may have not gotten to meet, as well as have some more appetizers and share some more drinks with the people you have met! Tips to get the most out of this event: 1. Come with a purpose/looking for..... There will be a lot of people at this event ranging from very experienced investors that might be able to solve a problem you're having, to newer investors that are looking to help with finding deals in exchange for mentorship!!! The more precise on what you're looking to achieve by attending this event the better it will be! Some examples are "I am looking for help on how to market to a specific targeted audience..." or "I need a buyer for a specific deal..." or "I am looking for someone that has experience with investing in Airbnb on the island..." or "I am looking for a partner on a specific deal" 2. Provide more value than you take... This might be a challenge for some people especially newer investors but if you are planning on attending see if you can find something of value that other investors are looking. The more people you provide value to the greater chances of you having follow-up conversations in the future!!! Some examples would be.... providing a free service to 5 individuals in the group.... Sharing some information of an OFF-MARKET opportunity will ALWAYS reward you some brownie points!!! 3. Follow-up!!!! You would be surprised how many times I go to an event; people take the time to get to know me and take down my information then I never hear from them again..... If you are looking to make connections and potential business opportunities, it is all in the follow-up!!!
