Every year during the month of Ramadan, CAIR Oklahoma organizes a day of service at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma where Okie Muslims volunteer in the afternoon while fasting. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam and Muslims are encouraged to practice kindness and humility, and give charity, even in the form of volunteering.
