Description

Derek McCorkle served in the Army 101st Airborne, 1st battalion, 327th infantry regiment, A Company "Abu" 3rd platoon "Buka". He was deployed to Iraq in 2003 and returned home in 2004. Derek was awarded an Arcom for his heroism during combat. Only 39 years young, Derek was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in November 2022. He is undergoing Chemotherapy treatment at Virgina Mason Medical Center in Seattle. He has a 14 year old son Cole, and wife Emiley. This dinner is a special fundraiser to help the family while he undergoes treatment—as they are unable to work their full schedules.
