5 p.m. Cocktails | 6 p.m. Dinner | 7:30 p.m. Concert | Post-Concert After Party featuring Andy Akiho Join the Omaha Symphony and Music Director Ankush Kumar Bahl for a spectacular evening honoring Ree and Jun Kaneko, featuring music and costumes from the three Kaneko-designed operas: Beethoven’s Fidelio, Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, and Mozart’s The Magic Flute. The concert culminates in a world premiere by trailblazing composer Andy Akiho, commissioned in honor of the Kanekos and inspired by Jun’s extraordinary artistry. Akiho utilizes Kaneko’s bold sculptures as instruments in the piece, incorporating the visual and the aural in a unique and captivating way. All proceeds from the Annual Gala support the Susan Morris Adventures in Music education and community engagement programs that inspire more than 35,000 students and educators every year.
