Hope for Connections is sponsored by Holy Curious and 20Percenters. Holy Curious is a counseling practice with a heart to walk with those seeking Spirit-filled living that presumes God is for us and even more so for His glory. 20Percenters is a Dyslexia Therapy Training Center focused on preparing professionals to walk with those struggling academically. Both Wendy Browne with Holy Curious and Rachel Ward with 20Percenters have worked closely with families struggling in unique parenting situations whether due to trauma, neurodiversity, or other reasons. They have seen a need to provide more training for parents, churches, and professionals to be better prepared to walk in the hard places with families. TBRI® comes out of Texas Christian University's Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development . TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection. We understand that cost could be an issue for some.
