Each year Habitat Charlotte Region hosts the symposium on affordable housing to hear from industry experts and regional panelists that can provide insight into the ongoing affordable housing crisis that affects our North Carolina region and much of the country. This year’s speaker will be “pathfinder, writer, and facilitator” Mia Birdsong. Mia is a pathfinder, community curator, and storyteller who steadily engages the leadership and wisdom of people experiencing injustice to chart new visions of American life.
