Join us and local birder, Martin Selzer, as we seek out the American Woodcock AKA Timberdoodle to observe its incredible mating ritual in Verree Meadow. This program is geared towards adults, but young birders able to quietly observe are welcome. FREE. Registration required so changes, if any, can be properly communicated. Parking is available at the playground with additional street parking. There are porta-potties at he playground, and the trails are rocky and uneven. This is a weather dependent, outdoor program. Please dress for the weather and hiking. Any cancelation due inclement weather (e.g. temperatures below freezing, rain or snow) will be email to the address registered with. Photos will be taken of participants during this program for use by the Pennypack Environmental Center and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation.
