In Aidan's Storytelling/Stand Up Comedy Masterclass, Aidan will help the students work through the process of writing, fine tuning, and performing their very own stand up comedy/storytelling piece! Performing on stage and sharing personal experiences can encourage confidence, a sense of agency, and the feeling of belonging in their community. The sharing of personal experiences can be a profoundly empowering experience for the performers and audience members alike. DAY 1 Technique Session: Aidan will break down the technical aspects of joke writing, storytelling, and performance techniques. DAYS 2-3 Classes Students will get a chance to workshop the jokes and stories they have written in front of Aidan and the other participants. The comedians/storytellers will learn how to collaborate with one another and fine tune their pieces. DAY 4 (day of performance) Participants will have an opportunity to run their acts before the big show. BIG SHOW/STUDENT SHOWCASE Students will showcase their stand up comedy/storytelling pieces to a live audience!
