The chain reported record revenues in 2021 amounting to 5.8 billion U.S. dollars worldwide, an increase of 1.5 billion U.S. dollars from the previous year. Chris Sullivan, Founder of Outback Steakhouse - Outback Steakhouse was founded in 1988 by Chris Sullivan, Bob Basham, Tim Gannon and Trudy Cooper. The company went public in 1991 and over the next 15 years collaborated with Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Roy’s to develop and operate over 1400 restaurants worldwide. In 2012, the reconstructed company, Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. went public.
