Wedding Vendor Meet-Up

Description
Are you a wedding vendor who works in the Portland area who'd like to meet more wedding vendors that you actually like? Come hang out at this casual meet-up! It's free to join and there's no set agenda beyond "hey, this is what I do for a living. How about you?" Who is this event for? This event is for anybody who works weddings, whether one a year or a million a year. It is not for business owners who sell services to wedding vendors. If that's you and you're interested in interacting with wedding vendors, please email us at [email protected]. What are the health and safety boundaries for this event? We aren't setting any boundaries that exceed Oregon legal mandate. This means that masks will not be required though you are, of course, welcome to wear one, we aren't asking for proof of vaccination, and we aren't asking for proof of a negative COVID test. The event will be indoors though there is an outdoor area that you're welcome to use if the weather's nice. I'm sober and this is at a place with "beer" in the name. This event will be hosted at Lucky Lab Beer Hall (NW Quimby location). This is a large space that also serves as a pizza place and we can confirm there are non-alcoholic beverages on the menu. That said, if being in a space like this isn't safe for your sobriety, please email us with ideas on where to host our next gathering. We'd love to know of more low-cost, spacious community spaces in the Portland area! Is this building wheelchair-accessible? Yes! Are there gluten-free and/or vegan options on the menu? Yes, to gluten-free (at least according to this unfortunately very dated resource that's about a different location but has similar items on our location's menu) and we're not sure about vegan (the menu has multiple vegetarian options but we're not seeing vegan; we apologize that we didn't think of this before we decided the location. We will do better next time). Why do I have to register for this? It was the easiest way we could think of to get a sense of headcount, and make sure you get automated reminders about the event. Can I bring a wedding vendor friend? Please do! It be cool if they registered ahead of time but no worries if they don't. Can babies and kids come? They sure can! We aren't providing dedicated childcare for this event like we did at our December 5, 2022, gathering but this venue is kid-friendly with lots of room for everyone. Can my partner(s) come? Sure though be warned that this will be a lot of wedding people talking shop so they might just want to stop by and say "hi." Up to you. Are food and drink provided? No, you'll need to buy your own, if you want anything. Scout the menu here. What's parking like? It's street parking but typically easily available. The Parking Kitty Zone Map tells us it's metered. This venue is also easily accessible by public transit, ride-sharing, or car-sharing. Do I have to care about Altared to go to this? Nope. We're using Altared to help spread the word but you don't have to care about (or even know what) Altared is to attend. Wait. What the heck is Altared? Altared is a space for wedding vendors who want to change the wedding industry. Learn more about our free 2023 programming at altaredpdx.com and @altaredpdx.
