Bring your friends and come together to creatively reuse materials like thread, candles, and paper as you learn terminology and techniques of simple bookmaking. You'll leave with your own handmade book, new skills, and an expanded vocabulary of bookmaking terminology. No experience or special materials required. Instructor Bio Susan Miranda has been a long time creator, educator and UpCycler. She is a co-founder along with Kelley Organek of UpCycle Creative Reuse Center. Susan loves giving new life to castoff goods and creating new things. Susan thinks that everyone is creative. She is an Alexandria native who lives with her husband and cat while her kids are off at college. Limited to 12 participants. UpCycle reserves the right to cancel the event if we do not meet the minimum enrollment of 6 participants.
