On Monday, February 6, 2023, powerful 7.8 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes struck the ten major cities Southern of Turkey and Northwestern Syria. We are saddened by the devastating news of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria and its tragic impact on many people's lives. These quakes have caused the massive destruction and collapse of buildings, with likely thousands of deaths and many more injuries and left thousands of people without shelter, food, or access to basic necessities. In response to these tragedies, we are hosting a fundraising dinner to raise money for earthquake relief, and we would be honored if you would consider joining our cause. The fundraising dinner, “Hope for Turkey: A Fundraising Dinner for Earthquake Relief” will take place on March 7, 2023 at 6:30 pm at the Asian American Resource Center, and will feature a keynote speaker, silent auction, dinner, and personal stories from the Austin community members who lost their loved ones. 100% fund will go directly to those affected by the earthquake to provide emergency assistance. Individual Ticket: $100 Sponsorship Packages: Rebuilding Hope: $15,000Support 10 families by giving them food packages, shelters, and essential emergency needs for six months. Healing Hearts: $10,000Provide immediate relief of a nutritious food package to twenty families to secure for four months. Hands of Compassion: $5,000Support ten families by giving them food packages, shelters, and essential emergency needs for two months. Helping Hands: $2,500Provide immediate relief of a nutritious food package, hygiene kits, and shelter to ten families to secure for one month. Uniting for Relief: $1,000Ensure four families are provided emergency food packages for two months. Strength in Solidarity: $500Give two families warmth by providing them with shelter and food packages including essential hygiene kits for one month. Together We Can: $125Provide immediate relief of a nutritious food package to a family of 4 to secure for one month.
