Description

This piano recital – forming part of the International Conference Women at the Piano 1848–1970 ­– foregrounds the music of pioneering women composers through the ages. It showcases music rarely heard in the concert hall and contributes richly to the mission of restoring women’s creative voices to the music-historical record. Pre-concert talk by conference organizers Dr Joe Davies (UCI) and Prof. Natasha Loges (Hochschule für Musik Freiburg) Hosted in association with UCI Illuminations, Department of Music, Claire Trevor School of the Arts, and the Women in Global Music Network (WIGM).
