Dallas (March 21, 2023) – the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) will feature Sister Rosemarie Nassif, SSND, Ph.D., at their annual Women’s Leadership Luncheon. Each year the Women’s Leadership Luncheon focuses on different issues that reflect SSND commitments, ranging from human trafficking to spirituality to the environment. The luncheon seeks to inspire women in attendance to believe in themselves as a leader and to use their gifts and talents to create a positive change in their communities. It takes place in March, honoring National Women’s History month. The 2023 luncheon, Learning Today-Transforming Tomorrow, will focus on mental health.
Sister Rosemarie Nassif will give a presentation entitled, “Trust Your Cape”. Sister Rosemarie is the Executive Director of the Center for Catholic Education at Loyola Marymount University School of Education in Los Angeles. From 2009-2012 she served as senior advisor to the Assistant Secretary at the Department of Education where she had lead responsibility for achieving President Obama’s 2020 College Completion goal. She was president of two universities, Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore and Holy Names University in Oakland. She has had professional experiences in Japan, Honduras, China, Rome, Korea, London, Italy, and Israel as well as in six countries in Africa.
