Volunteers are needed on Saturday, March 4th, 2023 from 10-2 to help us clean out the home. Please bring gloves, appropriate shoes, and any battery operated hand tools to tare down walls. Project 4114 will allow our organization to create an opportunity for youth and community engagement. This has proven to build important protective factors to aid in the development of the participants’ mental health while mitigating suicide risk factors. By giving youth opportunities to connect with peers, engage in our community and create a ripple effect of positive outcomes through rehabilitating the home. Upon completion of the home restoration, HERO program participants will unveil and gift the home to its first veteran benefactor. To accomplish this inaugural project, we need community support. Accepted contributions include in-kind donations of building materials, professional insight from licensed building contractors, volunteer labor and financial support covering all project- related fees.
