This symposium will be held March 6, 2023, at Malcolm X College, 1900 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60612, from 9 am to 3 pm. We want to showcase the social services that are in the village. The goal of this event is to connect and serve our villages, explore the intersectionality of social service and the practice of Restorative Justice, and bring awareness of the services that are available to assist our villages in their everyday lives. SSCI’s village symposium is geared toward creating a space for innovation and we hope to create healthy and thriving villages. We know that the work that you have done and continue to do is critical to the changes we all would like to see in our villages. This event will be attended by social service providers, clinicians, community leaders, elected officials, and community members. We are expecting over 200 guests to attend this symposium. This is an opportunity for you to introduce your agency, program, or business to our village and connect with them on an individual basis. We are expecting individuals from every facet of the village and others seeking to gain knowledge about social services and restorative justice practices that are offered in the Chicagoland area. As an exhibitor, we ask your agency/company to bring company information, any educational/informational fliers and brochures, free samples, and onsite services, if possible. We have no electrical outlets. We will provide a table and two chairs, please bring your own tablecloths. In lieu of a fee, we are asking each vendor for a gift to be used for door prizes for our raffle at the symposium.
