Here is the synopsis for the newly released book: During a mission to rescue an American hostage in Mauritania, General Garrett Sinclair and his Presidential directed Dagger Team run into unexpected resistance. The Secretary of Defense orders Sinclair not to personally lead the mission, as he is prone to doing. Instead, he commands from a nearby helicopter as Command Sergeant Major Sylvester "Sly" Morgan is the ground force commander. During the melee at a little-known terrain feature called the Eye of Africa in the Sahara Desert, Sly Morgan is captured and subsequently beheaded as Sinclair and team arrive seconds too late. Facing insurmountable odds and without support from his government, Sinclair takes his team into the maw of the Saharan death pit, the Eye of Africa, and pays a heavy price as they contend with betrayal and surprisingly stiff defenses in order to stop high tech nuclear bombs from destroying American's largest city with 10 million people.
