In partnership with The Real Hens of OC, join us for a FREE hands-on interactive Spring Edible Gardening and Seed-Starting for Beginners Workshop! All materials are provided in the seed starting activity and you will be able to take home the seeds you sowed. Topics covered in this workshop will include, but may not be limited to: Planting zonesMicro climatesSoil basics; soil health, soil amendmentsCool season vs warm season vs shoulder season planting“Rules” of seed startingTransplantingAt the end of the workshop, you will: Know your planting zones and know how to observe your microclimatesKnow how to select the appropriate type of soil for seed-starting and for starting your gardenKnow how to start seeds with confidenceKnow how to transplant seedlings with successHave a basic understanding of planting seasonsKnow some edibles they can plant for cooler weather and shoulder seasonsPlease note this class is for WVWD customers only.
