At this event, our speakers will emphasize the urgency to recognize that although the fight for equality is crucial but no longer enough. We need to embrace equity for a more inclusive and thriving community. Our learning objectives for this celebration is to: 1) Understand the difference between equity and equality, 2) Understand the impact of opportunity gaps on Black women’s lives and, 3) learn how to be accountable in the face of inequities to foster inclusive communities. We can all work alongside each other to accomplish positive change by embracing equity in all aspects of our lives. We hope you will consider joining us to celebrate together.
