ACC is looking forward to celebrating the Hindu Festival of colours, Holi, and the Thai festival of Sonkran with everyone.
Holi is traditionally celebrated to welcome the onset of spring in India, also believed as an occasion to end enmity. Sonkran, sometimes referred to as the Thailand Water Festival, is an annual event that marks the beginning of the Thai New Year where strangers come together wielding water guns, buckets, and balloons, it's famous for being one of the wildest water fights in Thailand. While Holi can probably claim the title for the most colourful festival, Songkran in Thailand is certainly the wettest of festivals in Asia.
We will be celebrating Holi at the Garden Hills Playfield using Organic, Non allergenic temporary washable colours that are fit for use by children. The event is open to the whole school (not just the ACC members) and is appropriate for elementary school children as well as middle and high schoolers.
ACC promises you utmost fun, delicious food, music and a very colourful afternoon! Below is a picture from Holi celebrated at AIS in the past :-)
