RASTECH 2023 is a capped event (limited to just 450 people). Registration priority goes to RAS operators (growers at fish farms and fish hatcheries), RAS contractors and seafood/RAS investors. Industry suppliers (with the exception of RAS designers and contractors), registering to walk the event are encouraged not to register and will automatically be refunded should they do so. RASTECH is an international conference and trade fair that serves industry professionals that work with Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) technology. Whether it’s raising fish juveniles, smolt or full harvest size, this event covers the latest developments, innovations and research in land-based fish farming. April 22 – Day 3 – OPTIONAL ADD ON - Evans Fish Farm Tour Evans Fish Farm, established in 1998, is a 100-acre fish farm located in Pierson, Flo., about an hour and 40 minutes drive from downtown Orlando. The farm is one of the first complete sturgeon aquaculture operations in the United States. The farm raises four species of sturgeon for its caviar – Ossetra (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii), Sevruge (Acipenser stellatus), Siberian (Acipenser baerii) and Beluga (huso huso). The farm spawns each of these species and hand rear the young fish. The farm currently has 2ndand 3rd generation farm-raised sturgeon. They also farm tilapia and hybrid striped bass. There are limited amount of seats for this tour. Ticket to the RAStech Conference must be purchased in order to purchase tickets to the tour, as well. Tour schedule: 8:15 am – Bus departure from JW Marriott Grand Lakes 10 am – Arrival at Evans Fish Farm 12 pm – Sit-down for lunch provided by Evans Fish Farm with an optional caviar tasting 2 pm – Bus pickup to go back to hotel 3:45 pm – Estimated arrival at the hotel RAStech 2023 is jointly hosted by Virginia Tech and Annex Business Media, publishers of Hatchery International and Aquaculture North America.
