Join us for an evening of nature and pleasure - bringing the outdoors in - with scent, ritual, hydrotherapy, and self care.
Shinrin-yoku is a term that means "taking in the forest atmosphere" or "forest bathing." It was developed in Japan during the 1980s and has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. The idea is simple: if a person simply visits a natural area and walks in a relaxed way there are calming, rejuvenating and restorative benefits to be achieved.
This is an interactive conversation about the science of creating a wellness by engaging with nature. Applying folk wisdom and science to ‘bring the outdoors’ home through scent and bath salts.
Each student will create a customized jar of bath salts and a fizzy foot soak to take home. Perfect for gifting or enjoying yourself!
