Description
Our communities are like a quilt, with different pieces working together to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Repairing or enhancing one section brings greater stability and vibrancy to the whole. This is especially true when it comes to the connected fabric of our urban landscapes, and nowhere is there a greater and easier opportunity to make a positive impact on the world around us than the soil outside our front door. This three-week series will empower you to be an active and joyful participant in your own outdoors as you build a deeper awareness and understanding of vibrant ecosystems and diverse plant communities. Plant communities are resilient and sustainable: they foster and honor a unique sense of place and belonging. They require dramatically fewer inputs and produce infinite rewards in the form of year-round beauty, enhanced habitat for critical wildlife, and new-found free time. Through our time together, we’ll empower you to make bold and transformative planting choices in your home landscape by demystifying the planting design process. You’ll learn about plant behavior and how to combine plants for both aesthetics and long-term success. You’ll discover how to choose plants that will thrive in your conditions and develop the vocabulary and understanding to help you feel confident as you manage your landscape long-term. You’ll walk away with an action plan tailored to you and an excitement to dig in. Tickets: $185/household | $152 Botany Backers REGISTRATION Please submit only one registration per household. Up to two people from a household are welcome to attend each session.
