After the Seed Saving and Plant Propagation Techniques class at the 2022 Small Farm Conference, many participants asked us for a more hands-on experience to master the different techniques to propagate plants, and that is exactly what this class is offering.
Different plant propagation techniques allow us to generate new plants with desired characteristics using various methods. You will learn when to use what propagation technique, what the reason is for this choice and you will practice the different propagation methods. We will also practice different seed savings techniques and discuss how to prepare for your own seed saving projects later this year. Both seed saving and different propagation methods will allow you to become you own seed and plant source. Also, this class can be your first step into becoming your own specific plant breeder.
