Do they matter for the life of the evangelical Lutheran church today? If so, how? If not, why not? The Seven Ecumenical Councils serves as a reacquaintance with the issues leading up to each of these councils and closely examines their decrees using the original texts with the goal of assessing their value to the church bound to the confession of Jesus Christ today. Course approach: some lecture with a high level of guided student-teacher and student-student interaction.
