Description

Fearless Readers is excited to host our first FREE pre-reading skills workshop at Encino Library on Saturday, March 4th, at 1:30pm. In this workshop, you will learn the number one reading skill that your child must have in order to be a successful reader and speller. The best part is you will get hands on practice during the workshop so you can go home and confidently begin working with your child that day. This workshop is perfect for parents (or grandparents) of children ages 4-8, or older students who are still struggling to develop their reading and spelling skills. Why can my child read a word fine on one page, but then can't figure out the same word on the next page? Why does my child constantly leave out letters when spelling words? Why is my child struggling to sound out simple words? All these questions and more will be answered during this workshop. This workshop will last 1 hour. This is a child-free event, but Encino Library has a lovely children's area as well as a playground that children can enjoy with an accompanying parent or guardian. Space is limited to 10 people and tickets are first come first serve for this event. Additional workshops may be held in the future based on interest.
