This meeting is organized by the three non-profit organizations in San Diego: ATASC-San Diego, HOT, and BTF.
There is already a large number of initiatives carried out within and outside of Turkiye by various organizations. But we all know that it will take years to fully recover from this devastating natural disaster. It will require help and assistance on many fronts: rebuilding cities, providing continued financial aid, helping vulnerable groups through specific programs (children, women, the elderly), standing back up the local economies, and more.
Being away from the disaster zones, we believe there could be specific short-, mid-, and long-term projects we can undertake in our community and be part of the overall relief effort.
Meeting agenda:
6 – 7 pm: Socialization Hour. We will serve tea and coffee. Please bring a dish if you can; food will be available potluck style.
7 – 8 pm: Idea generation. Ideas from the survey will be shared and the facilitator will lead a discussion to decide on which projects to pursue.
8 – 8.30 pm: Forming project groups.
8.30 – 9.30 pm: Project groups do project scope up and come up with action items.
Please RSVP by March 1st. The location has limited capacity.
Adults only.
