Through our Sacral or 2nd chakra (Svadhishthana) we connect with the energies of movement and flow, change, and the creativity to make it happen. Nurturance for ourselves and others should we choose, as well as all of our feelings and emotions, but especially pleasure. We are meant to have the sweetness of life within us, we are meant to experience it as well. Playing within this chakra will help you to connect more to these energies- drawing them to your life. Chakradance is a dynamic wellness practice which uses music specifically created to resonate within our chakras- helping to open and move the energy within them. During this dance there are no set steps and participants are asked to let the the music move them. This allows the body to unwind and release anything physically, mentally or emotionally that is not serving our highest good. This class will consist of a short guided meditation, warm up, gentle movement through all 7 chakras, the dance of the Svadhishthana, and followed up with creation of mandala art to help us keep the experience of the dance with us after we leave the space. You do not need to be a dancer or artist to join! Adults of all skill levels and abilities are welcome.
