Description

Understanding drainage and characterizing hydraulic fracture conductivity are the keys to optimizing field development. This presentation highlights learnings from Hess’ 10+ year journey of data acquisition, model calibration, and development optimization in the Bakken. The presentation focuses on the results from three field experiments with diagnostic datasets that include microseismic, fiber optics, downhole tiltmeters, time-lapse DFITs, high fidelity pressure observation wells, and interference testing (combination of measurements varies for each project). The presentation concludes with a summary of how the combined learnings from these projects has advanced our understanding of hydraulic fracture conductivity and drainage in the Bakken.
