The TypeOneNation Summit is an educational and networking opportunity for all those impacted by type 1 diabetes (T1D). This year the TON Summit will bring our community together to learn from T1D experts, hear about the latest breakthroughs in T1D research, meet vendor exhibitors, connect with others impacted by T1D, and more. We look forward to having you join us! Doors open at 11am, the program starts at noon. Our Youth Track Program is back as part of the TON Summit, and this year we have added a Teen Track. If you are interested in bringing your child(ren)grades kindergarten through 12th to the TypeOneNation Summit and having them participate in our Youth Track Program, please read below for the details and waivers required for registration. Keynote Speaker - Patrick Mertes, 50in50Project.orgPatrick is the founder of 50in50Project.org, a project dedicated to proving to the world that anything is possible with T1D. During this project, Patrick and a friend, who both live with T1D, traveled to each of the 50 states in the United States and summited the highest peak in each individual state and completed the entire expedition in less than 50 days. Patrick will share this incredible story with our guests and inspire them to not let T1D stop them from accomplishing anything. Patrick has spent the last decade developing and directing family retreats, residential summer camps, and high-adventure programs for individuals living T1D and their families. He founded The Diabetes Family Connection in 2018, which currently hosts one of the largest residential diabetes camps in the Southeast.
