Both have extensive training in the natural history of New England. About the hike: Join us as we explore the trails around Long Pond, looking for signs of spring. We’ll keep an eye out for birds—early migrants and residents—and evidence that plants are emerging from winter dormancy. We’ll also observe various habitats along the trail, such as vernal pools. Please bring binoculars if you have them. Steady rain, stormy wind, or heavy snow cancels.
