The “Empowerment for Victims and Families of Domestic Violence and Abuse course” consists of instructor led group classes which are provided for victims and their families of domestic violence and abuse.
The classes are designed to help victims, survivors, and by:
1) Learning about the dynamics of intimate partner violence and what they need to do to stay safe and protect themselves and their children.
2) Learning how to make good decisions that can help create healthier, more harmonious lives
3) Live violent free lives that will serve as a positive role model for their children.
The “Empowerment for Victims and Families of Domestic Violence and Abuse” is an ten hour curriculum which consists of Five two hour classes that are held one time per week. The victims also create a safety plan with the help of the program instructor and volunteer facilitators.
