Description

WELCOMEA National Eucharistic Revival is underway in the Church throughout the U.S. Behold the Beautiful One is an invitation to artists to draw near to Beauty itself and be revived by an encounter with the Beautiful One, Jesus Christ, as He comes to us in the mystery of the Eucharist. Through Mass, Eucharistic adoration, confession, music, talks, fellowship with other artists and Eucharistic creativity offered over three days, participants will experience the Beauty that inspires our art and be challenged to enter more deeply into the vocation we have as artists to point others to the Beautiful One. We are grateful to have the support of several religious communities for this weekend including the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and the Sisters of Life and hope you will join us! Please consider making a donation to the artist scholarship fund to make it possible for another artist to join. Other ways to help will be noted in the registration form. What is the Blessed Sacrament? Of all the gifts that God has given his Church, the Blessed Sacrament is, without question the greatest, for it is nothing less than the body, blood, soul and Divinity of Jesus himself. In the Eucharist, our Divine Savior dwells among us. It is the source and summit of our Christian life. What is Eucharistic Adoration? Eucharistic Adoration is spending time in prayer, worship, and contemplation before Jesus who awaits us in love, present in the Blessed Sacrament. It is a time of Jesus gazing at us and us gazing at Jesus who is dwelling among us in humility and vulnerability. For this reason, we submit our hearts and minds fully and attentively to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Will Confession be available? The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered throughout various times over the weekend. Details will be included in the program shared with attendees. Do I have to be Catholic to attend? All artists are welcome to join. We simply ask for all our brothers and sisters to observe the reverent atmosphere of worship set forth within the church sanctuary and noted in the program.
