Here’s what to expect on April 27th , 6 to 8 pm
• Champagne, cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and dessert;• Cocktail attire;• Live music;• Student docents from Cumberland University in each room of the museum;• Time to linger in an historic home, filled with 153 years of Lebanon and Wilson County history;• A glimpse of renovations of the house including work on exterior wooden elements, financed by a recent federal historic preservation grant;• One live auction item: a three-course champagne brunch for 20, prepared by members of the Year Round Garden Club and served at the Fite-Fessenden House; • Silent auction offerings;• Money raised at Celebrate Spring goes directly to continuing restoration of Fite-Fessenden House, which is managed locally by an eight member board of directors.
• History Associates of Wilson County has owned and managed Fite-Fessenden House Museum (1870) as a non-profit (501 c 3) since 1983.
