"BE PREPARED" and Welcome to our Merit Badge Day provided by volunteers from the SDIC Palomar District/Zone and Solatube International, Incorporated. This event is open to any Scout in Scouts BSA, from any troop and any Council and will be including hands-on activities.
Check-in will be at 7am at Solatube International, Incorporated in Vista.
WHEN REGISTERING YOUR SCOUT, PLEASE MAKE SURE THEIR NAME IS LISTED.
The cost of this event is $5 per scout, space is limited to 50 scouts. Lunch will be provided. A wait list will be established and maybe used to fulfill any open spots that occur.
We will be covering three BSA merit badges to include Emergency Preparedness, Fire Safety and Safety.
Prerequisites:
Emergency Preparedness: 1, 2c, 7b, 8b, 9a, 9b, 9c. Fire Safety: 6, 6a, 6b, 10b, 10c, 11, 13.Safety: 1a,1b,1c,1d, 2a, 2b, 3b, 4, 6, 8.(prerequisite details will be provided upon completing registration check-out.)**COMPLETION OF PREREQUISITES IS NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE "BE PREPARED" MERIT BADGE DAY EVENT. Those scouts who do not have the prerequisites completed will receive a "blue card" noting the areas they completed for each of the above merit badges at this event.
Scouts who attend with prerequisites completed as noted, can expect to leave with a signed completed blue card for each merit badge at this event.
Scouts are required to bring proof of their registration (Copy of ticket), the completed and signed by parent BSA Medical form Part A only. Also copies of the workbooks for each merit badge listed, clipboard or notebook, pen/pencil, water bottle and preferred the Class A uniform shirt.
There will be no on-site registrations or walk-ins.
