Description

Transit Alliance Miami is thrilled to announce its upcoming Dade Rides bike tour in Historic Overtown and Wynwood! This event will explore and assess the two neighborhoods' bike and pedestrian infrastructure and explore the rich cultural history and contributions of Miami's Black community to the area. The group will make stops at the Historic Black Precinct Courthouse, the old RC Cola Plant, Wynwood Walls, and the Miami Cemetery. The 6-mile loop is expected to take 1 hour to complete and will end at Gibson Park with a meal from nearby Jackson Soul Food and a discussion on how to advocate for a better bike network. Dade Rides is part of Transit Alliance's "Build It - Bike It" campaign, which highlights the pressing need for a countywide bicycle network that allows pedestrians and cyclists to travel safely while encouraging the public to adopt alternative modes of transportation. This event is free and open to the public. However, please consider supporting our work by making a tax-deductible contribution today!
