The Reality Tour® is a drug awareness and prevention program developed by nonprofit CANDLE, Inc., that takes you into the life experiences of a teen addicted to drugs. It’s an experience that will create a lasting impact on all who attend. Some sections of the Reality Tour may be emotionally charged, and parental guidance is a must. The Reality Tour uniquely engages the audience in live dramatic scenes about: peer pressure, arrest, imprisonment, emergency room trauma, and a funeral. These types of "scenes" will allow parent and child to engage in conversation and evaluate their own home routines, personal characteristics and build a stronger family approach to prevention. There is also an opportunity to hear about local information pertaining to drug and alcohol use in Sussex County and ask questions with people in recovery and law enforcement officials. Requirements: The Reality Tour is intended for youth ages 10 to 17. Registrants MUST attend with a caregiver. (Please do not bring your child's friend. They will not be able to attend without their own caregiver.) Arrival and Tour: Please arrive by 5:30pm at 20 Baltimore Avenue (near DiFebo's Restaurant) for check in at the registration desk. The presentation begins promptly at 6:00pm.
