Course Objective:The speaker holds physical therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture licenses, and has been in practice for decades. He also heavily involves in clinical research and received NIH funds to research the effects of chiropractic treatment in low back pain. This class is to present an integrative perspective for acupuncturists to have extended knowledge in treating shoulder pain.
The learning objectives are:1. Describe the anatomy and functional biomechanics of the shoulder complex
2. Make clinical diagnoses of common shoulder pain and disorders
3. Update the knowledge about the evidence-based best practice for acupuncturists
4. Perform cupping, motion needling. mobilization with movement, and therapeutic exercises for the common shoulder disorders
