You will receive notification of acceptance by February 28.Location: Felix Event Center, Azusa Pacific University, 701 East Foothill Blvd, Azusa, CA 91702For more information on the Nursing Research Symposium, email [email protected] Pacific University’s School of Nursing and the Iota Sigma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International invite nursing and public health professionals, as well as faculty and students, to the 18th Annual Nursing Research Symposium Webinar to present research and dialogue regarding health equity. This year, the focus is on creating a culture of health equity in nursing, education, public health, and within healthcare systems. Attendees will be able to: Describe specific factors that create a culture of health equity.Analyze (compare/contrast) at least two methods of critically examining health equity issues or research questions.Illustrate how one major health equity issue (actual or potential) affects an area of concern in nursing practice. What is the impact of the inequity issue on underrepresented populations? Which areas of research should be pursued to address the health inequity issue?Appraise how social determinants are related to health equity issues.Propose ideas and research priorities that would support a nurse’s work in fostering health equity in their professional practice.Research Symposium Website
