Carnaval is a movement of happiness and excitement throughout Latin America and dates back to ancient civilizations celebrating carnestolendas, the period that includes the three days prior to Ash Wednesday - a time to celebrate happiness, culture, and unity. As the most diverse Chapter, we want to celebrate and embrace our many different Latino cultures while also supporting our Latinas in Progress Higher Education Series. Through music, dance, and education, we hope to bring our guests a unique experience where they will not only feel like they are a part of a 'Carnaval' but also learn about ways to support our LIP program and how this series impacts the future of young Latinas in the Dallas region. In addition, we will be recognize and celebrate the work of our members and partners.
Thank you to our presenting sponsors Dallas Mavericks and HSC.
