Join us on Saturday, March 14 from 2PM – 12AM at Native Bar & Café in Austin, TX for an evening of community-building, learning together, and sharing authentic experiences at the “Beats+Bites+Backgrounds” networking experience hosted in partnership by the Diversity in Design (DID) Collaborative and _OFCOLOR. Hear from influential speakers, connect and create with fellow Black creatives based in Austin and beyond, all while enjoying refreshments and great music. You will have access to a design lab for a 2-hour time period where you will engage with textiles and reusable materials powered by MillerKnoll, Tarkett, Fossil Group, Inc., and The Freeman Company. After experiencing these artist-led design labs, you’ll come together with other members of your “design cohort” to listen to creative storytelling by leading design professionals and network with other Black creatives. You're welcome to stay as long as you'd like after your cohort has ended. Event Schedule Choose from 1 of 3 "design cohorts''. Each design cohort will experience the same design labs, so choose the time that’s best for you! 2PM-4PM: Design Cohort 1 4PM-6PM: Design Cohort 2 6PM-8PM: Design Cohort 3 9PM-12AM: Music Showcase After choosing your “design cohort”, don't forget to RSVP for the music showcase! We'll be rounding out the night with a lineup of DJs delivering beats sure to keep you grooving.
