Take some time to reconnect and enjoy some family fun while ice skating at this private, member only event. Enjoy the modifed sensory friendly environment featuring lowered lighting and music volumes while you skate with ample space to take a break in the bleachers, lobby/concession stand area or in a quiet room when needed. All skating abilities are welcome, and ice skates may be rented (paid for by the family) at the cost of $1.00/pair. You may also bring your own skates to the event. This member-only event is a great way to help family members who are apprehensive about skating get used to having fun on ice skates in a modified environment. There are a limited number of skating aids available on a first come, first serve reserved basis. If you would like to use aa skating aid, please indicate this on the interest list when RSVP'ing. We will try to accommodate individuals to be able to use a skating aid for a 30-minute time frame so all families will get a chance to use. Not all requests may be able to be honored within the time frame of the event if a large number of requests are made. Carry in/order in food and beverage items are not permitted in the building. The Autism Society will have bottled water available for participants on site, and the concession stand will be open for cash purchases. This is a member only event.
